The Boomerang is a re-release of a classic Tamiya off-road buggy. Tamiya designers have given this re-release kit a makeover replacing older, harder to assemble parts with modern equivalents, but still keeping true to the spirit of the original Boomerang.
The combination of these new improvements such as the more efficient gear box, drive shafts and axle joints along with the new placement of the drive shaft, gives the Boomerang improved steering control and helps to minimize the effects of abrupt shocks. The kit also comes with a chassis cover to prevent dirt and debris from interfering with operations. Take this updated Boomerang out for a spin and relive your childhood!

The 1980’s was the decade of the hot hatch back in automotive circles! One of the many automakers that made hatchbacks popular was Volkswagen, and their MK2 GTI 16V was a favourite among automotive fans. Tamiya has faithfully recreated the MK2 GTI as a rally race car as seen in A7 class competition. The body is based on the MF-01 chassis as it’s at home on both asphalt and flat dirt running!
MF-01X - Compact 4WD At Home on a Range of Surfaces
Based around a tough monocoque frame with integrated gearboxes, this compact 4WD chassis gives a thrilling drive whether you take it on road or flat dirt surfaces. It features a rear-mounted motor, with gear-driven rear wheels and a propeller shaft taking power to the front. Both front and rear gearboxes have differential gears. The battery pack location in the chassis centre secures excellent balance, while 4-wheel independent double wishbone suspension employs friction dampers.
This is an update of a popular 2WD buggy model which was a stablemate of the famous Hotshot in the late 1980s. The elegant, slim polycarbonate body brings to mind the image of a full-size racing buggy, and its markings take inspiration from the original model. Jazzy gold color metal-plated wheels are fitted with front ribbed and rear oval block tires for excellent off-road performance. The model includes a driver figure to install in the cockpit.
Updated Rear-Wheel 2WD Off-Road Chassis
This classic model retains its highly dust-resistant monocoque frame and 4-wheel independent double suspension, while also receiving updates to make it suited to the modern R/C world. Dog-bone type drive shafts are added, as is a stabilizer to help neutralize roll. Sealed gearbox and rear uprights now include a total of 8 ball bearings as standard, providing even more effective power transmission.
